启动前检测
驾驶员需在点火前通过吹气测试，若呼出气体中的酒精浓度超过预设安全标准（如欧盟规定的0.2g/L），发动机将无法启动。这一设计直接从源头阻止酒驾行为。
行驶中随机复检
车辆启动后，系统会不定时要求驾驶员再次吹气检测（即“rolling retest”），防止酒驾者通过“代吹”启动车辆后换驾。若复检超标，设备会发出警报并限制车速，引导车辆驶向安全区域。
